Desperanza (studio)

Le tri postal, Lille October 2012-January 2013

Come from Desperenza all puffy and red,
Come from the land where children are shot dead.
Come from Desperenza, land of the cruel,
From where they choke bastards in gruel.

They form a most devastating mar.
They are ghosts, spirits, zombies and their kin,
They are old men, adults, animals and children,
And the roads they roam bear the scar.

Come from Desperenza all puffy and red,
Come from where they drink blood that’s bled,
Come from Desperenza, land of the cruel,
Where nightmares always win the duel.

Stand aside! Hoofs in the dust,
Venerable Old Goat, proud, yet groans,
As he leads his long herd of emaciated bones
Of fury and flesh, rage and rust.

Come from Desperenza, weeping, wailing,
Come from the land of the dead prevailing,
Come from Desperenza, land of gall,
Where there’s not enough spades to bury them all.
